Last Day of January

Nobody celebrates last day of January literally.
But it marks the end of 1st month of the year 2012!
That's like a blink of eyes, split seconds, and anything that describes the great speed.

You gonna enter a month which has 29days this year, instead of the usual 28.
This is gonna be rather fast one. Really.

CNY Dinner

Had CNY Dinner at Day 4 of Lunar New Year~
with my colleagues and people from various outlets.

We had it at Spring Court in chinatown.

This is the entrance.

Took a group photo while waiting for the rest.

This was taken when we were inside waiting for Lou Hei.

Anyway, inside the room, there were 5 tables, and a karaoke set.
Even though i was quite sick that day, i went on to sing abit. hahas.
I just cant resist the mic.

The LouHei was quite a humourous affair.
the chinese waitress was new to this, and every ingredient she was adding, she paused and panicked before going on with her service.
She kept apologising too in order to have us pardon her uneasiness.
But quite a sweet lady, should took it easy, we wont eat her. hahas.

That was shark fin's soup, very delicious.

Roasted Duck.

Fish.

You will never guess what is this until i tell you.
On that night, nobody touched that dish until i turn around from the ktv set to the table.
I asked them,"what's that?"

They didnt respond and so i went on to probe the dish with the ladle.

And you guessed what? It is lettuce ! with some mushroom .

So nice and it looks like jelly.

This is abalone on top with mushroom and spinach inside.
Taste good.

Lastly the steamed prawn, very fresh and it was delicious.

There was a desert at the end, but normally i dont touch it so yeah,
didnt get to take a pic also.

But i saw it, should be some soup.

CNY Day 2 @ Bugis

Spent day 2 at bugis.

When we were exiting the kwan im temple, those men in white approaches and said,
"pls donate, 10ct also can, god bless you."

That's why i retreated, find my sister and we both donated a sum of $5.
#otherwise i find it hard to get away, and to think god doesnt bless me if i dont donate..

You see, the only crowded place during chinese new year, would most probably be this area.

I came across this stall with great expertise in cutting.

eventually i got to know they are promoting a special type of knife.

The fortune god with zodiac readings below.

That's the brigde which signifies safeness when you cross it.

When all's done, we got back home after a meal at kfc.

Had fortune feast for 2 straight days, but no luck at their fortune card.
Such an irony.

Chinese New Year Day 1

Today's day 6 of lunar new year,
and i am here posting day 1's event.

Anyway, i worked till cny eve and finally able to rest for quite a couple of days.
But you never knew what happened next,
that is i fell sick..

Soo sickkk on day 2..

Ate too much hei mi hiam at work.

Leave this aside, I went to grandma's house for relative's gathering.

That's my pretty cousin~

Had some great chats.

Quite a relaxing way to celebrate the 1st day of chinese new year.

Busy week

How are you people?

Just paid my exam fees today.
Had a free taxi ride from RELC to Orchard, thanks to 2 guys, yet to know their name,
but anyway one of them happens to be in the same econs lecture with me.
He saw me before but I have never taken note of him.
Hahas.

You know, I go into the lecture, and goes out of the lecture without paying much attention to anyone. lol.

Such an introvert. But usually im kinda tired, that's why.

Anyway, Having Prelim in early March and finals in May..

Remaining months for revision seems to be only 2-4 months only.

Oh my god.. where is this leading me to..

This kind of anxiety slowly crawls upon you when you realise you are actually not very prepared given the short period of time..

In the end, more stress come, and you just hope for a pass.

But that's definitely not enough for one to fly.

"I believe I can fly."

(It is really not easy to at least have our eyes meet,
for each of us has our own stuff to do and errands to run.)

School is Starting

Guess most of them had their school started today,
but mine is starting tomorrow !

Just collected my prize for the watsons' shake the christmas tree draw today,
and it was an Angry Bird Pouch!

Also played fishing joy at Zone-X and had gotten myself 300plus tickets with $3!

Hahas. It is quite an enjoyable thing to do whatever I wish on my own.

Nobody's tagging along.. so what?

Hahas.

That sounds quite.. hmm *shruggs* forget it ..

Anyway, juggling work and study, study and play, study and sleep, and play and sleep!

The way it switches between settings is kinda overwhelming.

I believe I will overcome it.

Unknowingly, I have been working under this boss for 3 years.
Helping him with 3 chinese new years.

Actually i dread working during the chinese new year period.

This is because of human relations problem, heavy human traffic and long queue.

I have to work super fast and multi-task at the same time.

For instance, listening to customer's queries while collecting payment while packing the items, and perhaps telephone might also ring at that point of time..

This is what normal situation will end me up with.

though this might be less boring due to increased work load, i still dread it.

Hahas.

Anyway, tough year ahead for me, at least for the 1st semester.

Shall brave through it.

Squeeze out more time to enjoy and do whatever i want to achieve.

In 3 days time, It will be a new set of calendar! it is gonna be year 2012 soon!

As much as those who are carefree might just be very excited for upcoming parties, whereas students like me will be much worried about school re-opening and the upcoming test and exams.

So at this point of time, you might expect new year resolutions.

But that is kinda common, and I would like to try something else.

Why not staying away from the computer more? as a resolution?

This is because I might be spending too much time browsing, online shopping, facebooking..

My brain cells are growing more than it dies...

It's been so long since I updated this blog.
I have some mid-autumn festival photos, which I have taken at the Chinese Garden, not uploaded yet.

Fabulous Start

It had always been quite unhappening for the past 20 years, for which i thought for a moment.
But because i thought, again, this year is quite happening, that i suddenly feel like sharing it here.

1. Elections (notice the "s")

Like anybody else, we have gone through 2 elections within a year. It was a "never" in my life, but it happened this year. Firstly a government election and secondly, the president elections. The only thing which i missed out was to be at the eligible age to vote. I hope i will not be like the ang mo kio's citizens, who only got the chance to vote (once in their life) if not for this president's election. Nevertheless, vote wisely ~~

2. Braces

I have always wanted braces since i was in secondary school. That was because i saw quite a few couple of schoolmates wearing braces and I do think i need one too. So my parents promised that i might get it after O lvl, but who knows, it becomes even later which is after A lvl. Reason being, is that they fear the ache will disrupt my studies. SO, i have my braces this year!

3. University

Nothing had been more anticipated than this. I believe in no matter where you study, as long as you have interest in the course you are studying, and efforts put in to strive for excellent result, everything will be worth it. But one thing is for sure, I have never known registration for uni can be so troublesome, for one thing i know, i have ran for more than one trip to get things done myself. Even before i became an official student of the uni, entering the uni was already a chore. Therefore, getting into an uni is never easy.

4. Several Jobs

This is the first time in my life which i am holding several job, 3 to be exact.
I worked and still working as a part time cashier at the usual place, a relief teacher and a home tutor. of coz all these dont take too much time, tt's why i still have my own free time. Coupled with, i am a student too. And also helping my sister with her blogshop business. I think that is quite a feat. I entertained thoughts of having a CCA, but was really quite doubting the fact that i have multiple roles to play and if i can handle it or not. So shall see how things will progress as time goes.

5. 3 days of school

I have never have anything like 3 days of school for past 20 years. It was always the routine 5 days, but 3 days! It was a timetable i have chosen, so i guess i kinda like it much! i mean one week 7days, 3 days of school, 4 days of free time. But if u dont think about the jobs, i guess it is pretty cool to have the least days of school. XP

The Things about Life.

Recently, My 8 years old terrapin passed away. Probably due to some diseases which we didnt manage to get it cured on time. Quite a big-sized terrapin, which is bigger than my hand. While its physical existence is gone, i believe it will stay in our heart dearly.

Have seen quite alot of things while working part time at the toy shop. Understood that differences are common. Changes are constant. Nothing stays the same. What is same are the changes and the adaptation needed for changes.

People who prefer cheap stuff to quality items. Others just want quality items regardless of prices. And some who want the best of both world. People have different sets of mentality.

What is cheap? Cheap items are often low in quality when provided in varieties.
Cheap means you dont have to spend so much, but ARE YOU SURE about that?

Take for instance, a battery. You buy a cheap battery to put into your alarm clock.
If this battery leaks, your clock spoils. Then you buy a clock again.
why not you buy some batteries with better quality, which only cost about 50cts more, can last longer and it saves you all the hassle from replacing spoilt clocks?

Minds of the people are funny.
They are fickled-minded. They would rather stay within their safety net.
They want to buy something they are unsure of, so they asked.
For instance, they want to buy battery LR44. They brought it along, but it is a different brand that we sell.
Theirs perhaps is Sony's, ours is Maxell. So they think the different brand doesnt work and they went away not wanting it. A few minutes later, they come back and buy the battery.

Ignorance is definitely not a fault. 这只证明人们缺乏安全感。( the lack of the sense of security)

Perhaps they got fooled into buying something before and that it did not work, therefore they are more careful.

Past experiences have got to be the factors of which they have these kind of precautions.

This does not only occur in shopping, but in our everyday life.
Regardless of whether we are in school, in love or at work.
Precautions are always taken even towards "friendly" strangers.
Even in the past, during hunting, hunters have to be on their lookout for wild predators.

This is not a sad issue.

Take the matter to a international scope, if Libyans are not careful enough, they probably get shot/bombed/blasted/killed the next moment.

Whatever it is, people have to be careful on whatever they do.

I used to get much irritated with people who are overly careful.
Because we are sure that the things are ok, however on their mind, it is still not ok.
The only thing we can do is to guarantee them that if items are faulty, they can bring back for exchange.

But in real life, if you are careless, the result may be irreversible.

So, Be Careful.

My Braces Diary

It has been "decades" or even "centuries" since I blogged.
I cant find anything interesting to blog about .. or maybe there is, but i wasnt on the right mood to do it.

SO.. As i was pondering while i was working today.
I thought maybe i can blog about something today.

The thing which has been "obstructing" my eating habit for the past months,
should be brought to "justice" if i bring attention to it.
Hahas.

On the result day which fell on March 11, 2011,
I went with my mum to Koh Dental Surgery to check out the price of having braces.
Had a dental check and the dentist told me i have to extract two upper teeth, and carry on to do a mould.

I had another check up about 2 to 3 weeks later, and separators were put on.
The function of it is what its name suggest, to separate the molars so that there is a gap in between.

If i say having the separators were not painful, i will be kidding you.

It is definitely painful because the molars were moving and when you chew onto your food, It almost feel like you are chewing "rock".
You wont feel the pain if your gums are "dead". Lols.

After that, about every 3 days, i went back to put on and take out separators, to have the metal "sockets" in at the molar. This persist for 2 weeks.

One of the appt, the dentist realise the metal thingy did not fix well onto my upper teeth, had a mould done again and separators put in AGAIN. Needless to say, i was quite un-pleased.
Because the process is unbearable and i wouldnt have wish for it to have it once more.
So ..
Something else happened!

Within 2 or 3 days, i have 3 out of 4 separators "bounced" out ! It wasnt me who intentionally did it. I clarified it with my dentist and he said he knew it will bounce out as the separators were "too loose".

So i had metal thingy on my upper molar then.

About 2 weeks later, which is about 1 month ago,
I had all the metal braces stick on my teeth, with the metal wire.
Again, 3 to 5 days, i have some problem eating, and chewing specifically.
Even talking was a problem, pronounciation was like duh~ can understand..

My colleagues would have to listen carefully to what i said. Hahas.

Anyway, on 10 June, 2011.

I had 2 upper teeth extracted. It bled for about 3 hours or so.
I was numbed from my upper lip to the upper part of my cheek for 4 good hours or so.
I took a nap 2 hours later, woke up for dinner and found my left cheek still numbing.

I didnt feel pain for the subsequent days, which was good enough.
Because i heard lots of "horror stories".

I thought i would feel pain when i was eating, so during meals,
i was particularly "careful" to not let food "touch" the gum or accidentally chew food there. But now, i just overcome it, and just chew freely. Hehes.

So after all these "ordeals", and for the subsequent dental appt,
I just perhaps have to get the wire tighten,
and wait for maybe about 2 year,
and i will a nice arrangement of teeth with correct bite.

And if you are considering having braces, dont let fear overcome you,
coz when you try it yourself, it is a different kind of experience.

I am having ease now, though occasionally i will sub-conciously use my lip to rub against the metal braces. But that really isnt a big problem.

The most important thing is to get a dentist, who is experienced and would warn you of the consequences of your actions and explain to you the procedures.

If not, you will be left on your own to deal with your braces woes.

So that's about it.
Gonna slp. My rest day tomorrow !

2011GE Officially Over, But..

Much have been said in the news.

Things really have changed, as frequently said by Nicole Seah.

In the past, after the election is over, people would have settle down and go back to their usual days.

Now, more rages have poured in when the result has shown that PAP remains as the party forming the government.

They accepted it.

With the condition that the relevant party acts on people's voices.

No longer the government could use the old tactics to appease the people,
supply-side policies dont work as effective as before due to the several limitations.

People want their real income to be raised, through lower GST or removal of GST on necessities.

There have to be new ways to combine current policies which would keep imported inflation at bay whilst ppl's real income are raised.

Training and re-skilling might only cater to the older generation whose technical skills have worn out due to the technological advancement.

With all those mentioned, people has also recognised the fact that the role of government has been diluted.

They were thought to be bosses of a country like the role of a CEO in a particular company.
Voices are assumed to be "suppressed" in the past, but now, the opps has given them the courage to voice out.. That should be how freedom of speech should be.

With more knowledge on government's role in a democratic society, though not a totally perfect democractic system, government is now recognised as the fact that they are the people elected based on their capabalities so that they will take care of the people. We contribute in one way or another through cooperation and obeying their laws.

The government would have to fear nothing, if they act on it. Explain clearly on their agendas.
Provide the people with a clear and better source to explain on why the govt implemented such policies and others. That's accountability to the citizens.

I have been a pro-PAP, I am happy PAP was elected, but not all of them out there are.
When people give PAP a chance, it should not be taken for granted.
The ground is shaking, who knows when earthquake may occur and more destruction may result.

This is an internal crisis. It is like a frog in a beaker of boiling water. If the temperature of the water finally reached boiling point, the frog will be cooked and die. Things do not happen out of a sudden, it was accumulated gradually over time.

People understood it, and we will anticipate the govt's actions on the voices and future victories.

It is Singapore, not just PAP.
Alot has been done, but not enough for the evolved society, more has to be done for the govt to be really successful in managing the country.
Economic success may just be part of it, but not whole of it.

Afterall, if the govt do not act on it, at the end of the day, it is the people who will cast their votes again.
We wont want to see strikes or riots on any issues which the govt cannot resolve..

p/s: This is not a post to insult or threaten anyone, the writer just hope for a betterment of the country, an urge for the govt to do something to maintain internal stability, and using this platform to voice out her thoughts and opinions.

A couple of hours later, Singaporeans will be making their life-changing choice (for at least 5 years) in the decision on which Party will be governing their GRC or SRC.

I have posted several status and comments on my facebook, and will not post it here.

I urge Singaporeans to vote wisely, no guarantees that PAP will be in control.
If you carry an attitude and feel that your vote is not important, or is gonna "play" awhile and vote for something you think it will not happen, then I suggest that you better be serious.

DO NOT REGRET AFTER YOU KNOW THAT THE PARTY YOU ACTUALLY FAVOUR LOSE BY A MARGINAL BECAUSE YOU "PLAYED" WITH YOUR VOTE OR THOUGHT IT WASNT IMPORTANT!

Every VOTE counts !

It WILL COST you something for the next 5 years.

Although I am not at a legal age to vote, I am here to post a humble advice to all of you.

Talks are talks, nothing is in black and white.
If they revoke on what they promise, you are a goner.

Believe on the party who had promised you something and had and has hold up to their promises before.

Vote for them, you will never be wrong.

Lazy Blogger OR Busy Blogger?

It had been a month plus since i last blogged. You might have thought why this girl had gone missing from this blogsphere.

Part of the reason is due to hectic life.. and the other, the laziness in me.

I shall then try to do some update of the bits and pieces of my life during the past month.
It shall be quite a memorable one, at least for me.
Due to the rapid changes and life-changing choices i have made and have to go thru.

Firstly, i shall start with my A level result.
Well... All in all, quite abit of improvement.
I did cry because of the imperfection. it wasnt too much of the expected, good and bad.
I might have passed all subjects but..
Getting into a local uni business course would indeed be a great console for me.
I did my best within the stipulated time frame to make it gonna come true.

Not long ago, perhaps last year december, i applied thru the MOE portal for relief teaching.
My request was approved and i worked as a relief teacher in SQPS for quite a couple of days.
Taught the P4 kids.
Quite a handful of them are difficult to handle, expected the kind of mess they would create
and experienced the life of Primary School Teacher.

They really have not much time for themselves if they really want to be on time in marking their kids' assignment as they have other administrative stuff to handle too.
Come to think of it, perhaps i was right not to be a full time teacher.

I am the type of person who wants freedom in work, and when works are done,
i will be doing my own stuff instead of thinking what have i not done and what is to be done,etc/

Perhaps, personal space is utmost important for me.

Recently i had a sudden craze for designer's bag. It's been long since I have a new bag.
I searched on the net for Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and Chanel.
I even went to Paragon, Ion and Ngee Ann city to take a look at them.
It comes to a point where i decided that I should settle for something cheaper and something i can afford.
So, i settled for a Charles and Keith's Bag, which cost less than a hundred buck.
There were news that Louis Vuitton finance company had bought over 20% of C&K shares,
in order for C&K to break into the Europe market more easily.
It then enlightened me when my friend told me that C&K have the potential in terms of quality and value that explains LV's movement.

Anyway, the reason why i didnt splurge is because i am getting braces done.
I had went thru consultation, X-rays and next, is to have separators put on.
I am not sure when will my teeth be pluck out..
But come to think of it, shouldnt have worried too much, because i know i will be more
confident with my look. I believe there's a need for some small "sacrifices". Hahas.

I had also bought Nintendo Noble Pink DS lite and Pokemon Black Version last week.
Had been playing it till now, with 6 gym badges, but had not been playing for the past 2 days.
Coz after work, i played till 2.30am, and woke up with panda eyes everyday.
Spending my sleepy hours at the shop really is a torture mentally..

So no matter how happening it has been for the past one month, the only thing i was hoping now is to get into a local uni which i have applied.
It would be best to get what i always wanted,
because you do best when u get what you always wanted,
and whichever had been a difficult to achieve.

I am pretty sure, i will not take things for granted and do my best in my uni years.
All the best ahead, and hopefully good news come soon !

To sum up, I am pretty busy as always. I do have time after work, but i choose not to blog, and decide to do something else. Hahas.

Oh, i have reopened my blogshop, which is PLUSHIE-ICE.
Not much things are up there, but i am working on it.

Spring Cleaning !

Spring cleaning should have been done before Chinese New Year, but ...
I was super busy with work (what else..), thus my room was not very much "cleaned"..

So last last tuesday (see, how busy i am that i only blog about it today...), I spring cleaned my room!

But the main thing is not really cleaning up, but packing my 2 years of collection into one big bag !

One day before that, I bought a big bag from my shop.. They call it 跑路袋。
Coz it is so big that you keep your possessions inside and run away with it...
Hahas.

So initially, I thought i had dig out all my plushies already, i took some pics of it.

And halfway thru, i remembered that some of my collections are missing, and so i went to search my other cupboards..

And Tada~

It is totally filled! To the Brim !!

And this is how big the bag looks like...

I still have other plushies not in there yet, coz my mum displayed some in the glass cupboard in the living room and some hiding inside my mum's room..

But keeping them inside the bag has let out lots of space for me to keep my jc notes..
and i was alarmed by the amount of chinese history notes i have.. It was a big stack, and bigger than my econs notes.. With smallest stack prize given to my chinese language and lit notes...
Hahas.

Anyway, it was reported that A level result will be released on 4th March this friday.

I got a feeling that my classmates would mostly be A(s) scorers, and i will be the one left out...
But hopefully i still do well enough to get into local uni.

So just stay anticipated and wait for the result day !

SMa Last Module Exam Gathering !

We were having our last module exam gathering on 8 feb 2011 two weeks ago.
& after we finished the exam, had our lunch at Nan Xiang Man Tou Restaurant.

And I shared a set lunch of 4 with the others.

In the end, the meal cost almost $20 per person.
About $18.50 , the most expensive lunch so far? Hahas.

The cold chicken drumstick dish.

The shanghai siew mai, inside it is some glutonious rice and pork meat.

The noodle that they had.

Forgotten what's this..

This is what they call "lionhead", but it actually some meatball.

Fried rice that i had that day, not bad . Hahas.
Though it looks plain and simple, the taste was delicious..

The "bao" that will splurt out juice when you first sink your teeth into it.

The clam in steamed egg.

Taste tender-ly nice. Hahas.

This was the long stretch of table with the 9 of us that day, and when we were almost done.
Quite a fulfilling lunch, and definitely the service was very good.

However it is quite crowded in the lunchtime, filled with the working people frm the CBD area.
Therefore if you really want to go there, choose the non-meal hours. Hahas.

Anyway, I got to know the result of the Principles of Management !
I got a High Distinction ! Hahas.

and...

The A level result has been rumored to be released on the 4th of March..
which is NEXT WEEK!

Oh Gosh...
(Would it be a nightmare or sweet dream?)

Start Work Dinner at Long Beach

Start Work Dinner was on the fourth day of CNY which falls on a Sunday,
and the venue was at East Coast Parkway at a restaurant call Long Beach Main Seafood Restaurant.
It is reputable for its nice crab dishes.

But then...
The food isnt really that nice as compared to the one we went last year,
which was at Teo Chew Seafood Restaurant near Orchard.

This is the exterior side of the restaurant, it is pretty crowded as most of the ppl usually dine outside during the festive season.

Dont be surprised when you see lots of aunties in the pictures, because i am boss's youngest employee. Hahas.

My boss had three tables of us that day, plus there are the outsiders too,
so it is kinda noisy..

I was particularly "attracted" by the wet tissue packaging. The Miss Intercontinental has eaten their crab ?

Not long after, yu sheng came..

My portion of yu sheng.. Actually i dont really like it, but my collegues have given that, i cant do anything but try it. It turned out that it wasnt too bad. Hahas.

Shark fin soup came .

A bit bland, with little shark fins. If this is the case, i will just get my mum to cook it. hahas.

(guess if the restaurant sees this, they will hate me much* hahas)

The prawn was nice!

Nice decoration.

The simplest dish is always the nicest dish. Really.

My portion of it.

Halfway the course, my boss ordered red wine.
I didnt want it initially, but my colleagues all coaxed me to have a glass of it..
So in the end, i drank a glass of it ..
Taste not bad..

Fish wasnt very nice..

The signature chilli crab dish was there then.
The chilli was fanatastic, really.
When the chilli was at your tougue, it wasnt spicy but when it reaches your throat, the spiciness broke out that you would exclaim!

The crab meat itself, though the crab looks very big but the flesh had shrank alot.
It was said by someone that the restaurant had probably kept the crab for more than a week, & the crab was more or less "dehyrated" and therefore shrank in size.

The noodle wasnt too bad, but i didnt have much of it.

After the whole course ended, we went out to take some photos.

That was my ex-colleague, he was transferred to another shop in bedok.
And i look abit tipsy already after finishing that glass of red wine..
But he looks more drunk than i am, coz he finished a few glasses of red wine in one go..

First Day of Work in Rabbit Year

This was what i saw on my 1st day of work in Rabbit Year !
(while i was almost reaching my workplace)

Hahas.
I didnt report to work immediately then, coz i was more into the lion dance than going to work.
Lols.

Took lots of photos with my cam.

It was the fourth day of CNY which falls on the Sunday.
The crowd then, practically encircled the place to watch the lion dance performance.

Needless to say, it was definitely a joyous occasion to have gatherings at tt point of time.

It lasted quite long as the lion dance troupe was hired by them.
Didnt see any 4D numbers, but an auspicious greeting to bless the shop with great fortune !

Saw baby HX dressed cutely and pretty cool with the sunglasses then. O.o

Even frm the backview, I still thinks she is very adorable. Awwwsss...

CNY House Visiting & Start Work Look

Went House Visiting on the first and second day of Chinese New Year !
Pretty cool to meet up with our relatives again.
Angbaos giving are just part of the tradition, so no matter how much you get
as long as everyone is happy,
everyday is happy, nothing matters more than that.

But i believe every year, everyone who receives angbaos would have the "fat" ones from the relatives.
So you would have a "fat" year ahead. Hahas.

Anyway, put on Dolly Wink Eyelashes on the first 2 days of house visiting
& Wow, immediate effect felt !

The change was absolutely dramatic. And seriously, I Love it. Hahas.

Being narcissitic, I took some photos .

I usually dont put make up on my face, so what you see would be my naked face.

My Hair Has Changed Colour

It was the very morning, where i followed my mum to the salon planning to dye our hair.
I took some photos of the colour that i would like to dye to, hoping it will be obvious but not too bright a colour..

&&& my hair changed colour on the 17 JAN 2011, around 12 plus noon.

Tadah~ 3 different tones of blonde or brown on my hair now.
Pretty amazing though..

But one thing is for sure, i am still not very used to the colour yet.

Every time i look at the mirror, i keep imagining myself in black hair..

Anyway, as you can see, the colour is bright and definitely obvious.
However, i hope that it will turn darker abit after a few wash,
because the actual colour i want wasnt this!

after a few looks, I thought maybe the colours are actually quite close to each other.

Anyway, the model is Yakuwa Satomi ! She's my new jap idol. Hahas.
Pretty isnt she? She is just like a living doll if you do read the Ageha Magazine!
Not gonna miss feb issue this time round. Hahas.

Shopping Spree!

Had a busy day today because I went for a shopping spree~!!
Hahas.

Went to City Plaza to shop for CNY dress, The Aldephi to collect some stuff, Went Taka and Ion to shop and Vivo City to enquire about my phone.

And Came back home with super tired legs...

When i was on my way to search for the Nokia Service Care Centre, I saw the rounded flowered tree displayed outside of Vivo.

I thought it was really unique and very round too !
Totally impressed by the art of building this huge ornament.

After which, went on to try to capture a pic of the universal studio frm far.

Not a very good pic taken though..

But anyway, I found the shop later on, but disappointed to hear that my phone's cover is no longer available for change of new ones...

Remember 2 or 3 years ago, i told myself i wont change phone anymore due to the sweet pink that the phone has..
But now, the phone cover is fading in color and due to my carelessness, the edges are also chipped off >.<

I dont know whether to get a new phone, coz nothing has yet attracted me.
Perhaps getting a X3 in pink ? Hmmm....

Anyway, will come to a decision one day..

Shall show you the result of my shopping spree today ~

I have more than 2 items off my wishlist or post-a level to-get list already.

But i missed Ageha Magazine Jan Issue ! It is out-of-stock already !!
Oh goodness... I feel damn sad.

I just hope i will get a one-day off each week before CNY to complete my cny shopping,
coz i only bought one dress today!! How is that enough ??
Plus, i hope nicer dress will arrive soon, because i had a hard time looking for the right clothes then!

Working Life

Boohoo~ I am here blogging again !

Been busy with work recently. From 11.30am to 10pm - a straight 10.5hrs daily.
In the next coming days, it might stretch to 11pm, which can be quite crazy for me to work almost 12 hours daily. That is, half day is gone for me.

This is how the shop looks like now.

Full of CNY deco.

And the exterior too.

But that's because the shop is call H*** Y* FINE SEASONAL PRODUCT!

Therefore it is mainly selling festive decorations, and that includes CNY.

There are ppl who walk in and ask me,

"hey, do you sell cigarettes/parking coupon/stamps/phonecards/...?"

And you can just fill in the blank to have tons of ridiculous qns they will ask.

Cant they see it is a children toy shop with cute stationaries etc??
(that's my opinion and what i am thinking.)

If you have asked that kinda qn before and feel offended now, oh well ...
I can just be patient enough to tell it is a toy shop, we dont sell what you asked for, sorry about that.

But imagine one day you have more than 5 ppl asking you the same qns, will you be mad?
( i will try my best to be calm, seriously)

Also, I have customers bugging for discount saying they have bought alot of stuff, when they only have a few stuff on hand, maybe less than 10 items with a total of less than $30?

They probably couldnt understand, alot in the business mindset means bill that exceed a hundred preferably, that is considered to be a case of great amount of deal.

If our items are the cheapest and prices are fixed, it really makes no point attempting to bargain.
Because it will be a no-no unless you are spending more than a hundered.

Whatever said and put aside, long hours of working have definitely lead to tiredness and all that.
My mood will turn bad at times , but i will try to control it so as to serve the customer better.

They owe me nothing, i cant possibly be shouting at them or giving them lousy attitudes.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011 !

Hahas. How did you spend the first day of New Year?

How did I? I was working today and wasnt been able to go out to have fun and all that.
But still i enjoyed the first day of the new year with my colleagues !

Bought a new pair of slippers and perhaps wearing it for work. Hahas.

Anyway, you may find that the way i articulate in blogging is getting worse.
This may be due to the lack of blogging and thus kinda lost touch of it.

But it will get better when time goes . ^^

As usual, people may add in their resolutions for the year on the first day of new year.
Perhaps i may want to have some too, to spice up the blog content for this. Hahas.

1) Bring down my own expectations, so that i can live happier!
If my capability can achieve what i want, that would be good too !

2) Slp earlier, eat slower so that my weight doesnt increase.

While there are the stated resolutions, i do wish to have some stuff too.

1. I hope to get decent grades enough for me to get into my dream uni. Hahs.

2. Earn lots of money to pay for my braces and uni fees.

3. I want Nokia to invent a phone that has the pink similar to that of N6210 classic.
*must be same shade*

4. I want to have DS lite and play pokemon black !

Hahs. You may roll your eyes thinking why am i still playing pokemon.
That is because of it graphics!
I believe Pokemon has one of the best graphics among other games such as resident evil, super mario, harvest moon, zelda etc.

They even bother to improve it to make it even batter so that gamers anticpate and keep watching on their upcoming versions.

But good things are worth waiting, coz the pokemon black (eng version) is only launching in US on MAR 6 2011,
4 days before my birthday ! Hahas.

Anyway, 3hour plus more before the new day is over,
spend however you like it and once again,

2 days ago, I had a fabulous Christmas Eve Eve outing with my Sec Sch Friends~
We had steamboat opp Tian Tian Huo Guo at Bugis. It was fun indeed~ Hahas.

A Christmas Keepsake from my close friend ! Hahas. So thoughtful of her.
Everyone else who was did receive one from her too!

This was our table, with lots of ingredients for us to feast on later. Yummy!
It's been ages since i had steamboat buffet ! Hahas.

Anyway, Christmas tree at bugis this year was not so great as compared to Jurong Point's. My friend even commented that it looks like an inverted unmbrella ~
Hahs. Coz the surfaces are flat, not like there are any pricky leaves to make it look real or anything similar. Maybe just a symbolic deco?

Lastly, we did not forget to pose in front of the place for a Christmas Pic !

We went to have ice-cream later on, chat awhile and went home after tt .

Curry Fish Head

Before A lvl, we promised each other that we will have curry fish head at orchard after A lvl.
And Yes, we did go to have our curry fish head last tuesday ~

She didnt want to take photos so i only have pics of the place.

The curry fish head was quite cheap . Only at $25 .

The orangey curry fish head ~

It was spicy and you definitely need to have it with rice.
The taste was not bad, but i guess they were quite stingy with the french beans,
and the additional lady fingers which i requested for.

After finishing it, we shop around orchard and went to LV to enquire abt the price of the wallet which i have been eyeing, tt cost $985.

Wonder who is going to europe, perhaps france, to help me buy tt Rose Florentin LV Monogram Vernis Zippy wallet, which is likely to cost 20% cheaper due to the depreciating euro dollar against sing dollar.

While this design is rather seasonal, i guess i will get it later next year,
coz i have to do braces after cny and prepare a sum of money for uni.
So... luxury item is not a need now.
Hahas. and perhaps better stuff may appear in the future.

Anyway, we went to Haagen Daz not long after to rest our legs and to have some drink and ice-cream~

We headed to Jurong Point coz she have to get her stuff.

Returned home at abt 9plus as she has to reach home early to collect some stuff from her friend who was leaving singapore later in the night.

All the while, she has been saying she craves for the minced crab soup we had during the exam period.

I guess after the release of A lvl result, if she comes back, we will have it again ~!

Hahas.

JJ Prom 2010 - Oscars Night P3

The reason why i went for this year's prom night was due to several reasons.

1. The event was handled by some professional event planner.
2. I want to experience the event being professionally planned out rather than our own alumni..
3. I thought my outfit wasnt tt nice last yr.. Hahas.
4. I am kinda bonded with the current class. ^^
5. I want to get a better feel of prom night by perhaps, sitting nearer to the stage. Hahs.

And COOL~My table was so damn near the stage!

The event started quite late at abt 8plus..

This was the talented emcee who knows mandarin and can speak with thai slang,
most impt, able to capture the attention of the ppl.

It started with catwalk and introduction of the prom queen and king candidates.

After that was done, it was dinner time ~
Along the way, some prizes and lucky draw were carried out..

Some of them were called up on stage, and u will see someone familiar up there.
(definitely not me.. Hahas.)

During the dinner, there was this magic show..
Which was nt so appealing if u have seen the famous tw magician on tv before..

So it was Q and A session not long after..

That was my classmate and her partner..

Our vp giving out the cert to the candidates..

&& The winners were F5 and M4...

SO it all ended with the announcement of the 2010 prom queen and king, and the grand lucky draw winner of the Apple Itouch 8GB..

JJ Prom 2010 - Oscars Night P2

This post will be dedicated to the different dress or suit which each of them wore to the special event !

This was what i wore that day ! Hahas.
The belt, bubble dress, glove was arnd $55.
My hair was $30.
My bag, stockings and heels were existing stuff which i have.
Plus make up was done on my own...

So overall, i spend less than a hundred !

Oh oh oh... I forgotten my camera. It was bought specially for the event. Hahas.
So if u count that in, it exceeded that much. Hahas.

After getting down the cab, i was abit carsick...

So didnt really move abt much till i recovered.

Took many photos with many individuals too, will be too much of a hassle if i upload all up here.
Coz i forgotten to change the image size to normal sizing when i upload it to photobucket, so the pictures will be as large as the above ones.

JJ Prom 2010- Oscar Night P1

Went for JJ Prom 2010, themed Oscar Night on 6 December 2010 !
Maybe you were looking forward to seeing ppl wearing their own Oscar Outfit, however perhaps you will be disappointed...
Coz this post will focus mainly on the food served ~

This is how the dining hall looks like, & i guess it hold abt 500plus ppl in there.
So around 50 plus tables?

So we went in at abt 7plus, close to 8pm, waiting for the event to start..

That's my table number, and we were quite surprised that our table was so near the stage. Hahas.

The Night's Dinner Menu.

This was taken when there was this grand entrance of the serving of dinner by the waiters and waitresses.

And that's what i have eaten from there, and it tastes good.

Not long after, shark fin soup came, with more chicken meat than sharkfin.
Guess the school was on budget, and i cant expect more than what i have paid too.

The prawns are nice ~ i ate a couple of them !

... I dont really like this...

The fish wasnt so tasty actually..

The vege and mushrooms are super nice ! I like it alot ~

My serving of Ee Mian, but i only ate two strand of it?? coz i was away from my table taking photos, hahas. and it turned cold, so i didnt eat much of it, but i guess it was nice !

After not long, mango pudding was on my table too, but i didnt touch it, coz i dont really consume desert..

So after everything, the programme ended after the prom queen and king was announced, and some ppl headed to their post prom party at butter factory while my friends went home with me. Hahas. It was fun coz the emcee was funny and engaging.
I went there for some reasons too, coz the school engage some professional event planner to plan up the event, thus i wanted to get a feel of a professional event instead of things planned up by school's alumni. Overall, i would say, prom night 2010 was definitely fun and memorable !

It is Fujifilm Finepix JX205. It really have lots of cool functions, and is really much better than canon ixus 105. Why canon ixus 105? Coz at first i was pondering to buy that camera, thought canon is quite a good brand. But the sales promoter said that canon is better in its EOS lens, so he recommended this fuji cam and i bought it ! It auto adjust in the dark; can capture anything under bright light; when self-pic, you just have to smile, w/o clicking the button, the photos will be taken ! it is so cool, dont u think?

Hahas.
I am so glad i gt myself a pretty fine camera with 14megapix.
(hehe, really overjoyed)

Anyway i am using it for prom night and for many other events in the coming days !^^

If u really like this camera, i guess u should really check it out !
It is worth it and you should consider it if your budget is or below $400.

I can also recommend a place for u to get it cheaper (as compared to other retail stores) and with many free gifts !
Erm, such as cam pouch, screen protector, 8G memory stick, etc.
Hahas.

Hello Everyone ~! I am Back !

Hahas.

Anyway it was a tough struggle, but i have pulled through and i am glad i did it !

Went to Jurong Point ytd after i have been "secluded" for a few months.. XP

I really like this year's christmas decoration @ jurong point !

The chubby angels are cute. Even the child is mesmerised by the enchanting beauty of the decorations. Even the snowman is so round ~

Nice pastel colours used, dont u think so ?

Anyway I bought the Hello Kitty Mascara ! It was said in the watsons ad tt it is limited edition and in limited qty!

But i have been seeing lots of it in Bugis Junction watsons.
Hahas.

The design is unique and stylish, plus it is pink and hello kitty ! All the more i love it. But if (the mascara is) applied unskillfully, it will result in 2 lashes sticking together and clumps of it may appear. However, it is good to apply on the lower lashes, and it will be longer by a few mm ! Really !

Anyway, i am going back to work tomorrow.
But look out for a Prom Night Post ! Hahas.

The race against time..

I have decided to stop blogging until my A level is over.

The next thing you would be looking forward to, would probably be a PROM NIGHT post in DEC!!

Here's some orchid pic which my mum bought recently !

I remembered my bio teacher once said, different orchids can cross-breed to produce new breed.

But i can only recall how to transfer the pollen grain from male to female flower,
and how it will grow into a new breed, i have totally no impression of it .

Perhaps wait for the female orchid to bear fruit?? But i have not seen orchid fruit before !!

Maybe i should not disturb the flowers for now.. Concentrate on my revision then ~!

I just went to see a Chinese Physician.

Diagnosed with Airway Inflammation.

And the following is the instruction:

Cannot eat cake, chocolate, chilli, herbal tea, chicken, egg, fish, fruits such as grapes, and lots of other stuff.

Only encouraged to eat slim meat.

That is like an abstinence to food >.<

Now i am feeling damn terrible,

Chest tightness, breathing difficulties and coughing..

This is making me so sick.. Zzz..

I did say i want to do up a list of countries which i wants to go.
I wasnt studying for today ( so unproductive).
But i will do so tomorrow. And i will do a rigorous one.

Below will be the list of countries/places which i most craving to go to the least. ^^

1. Tokyo, Japan

Basically, my aim is to do shopping. There are several big brands in Shibuya 109, Tokyo. Such as Liz Lisa, Tralala, Jewel Prom, GOLDS infinity, etc brands you see in your japanese fashion magazine such as Ageha, Popteen, Vivi.

So if you are in tokyo, remember to drop by shibuya 109 !

Have been reading cheeserland.com, saw the pic and was quite determined to go shibuya when i have earned enough money to have a great shopping spree there.

2. Ximending, Taipei, Taiwan

Ximending is the main shopping and fashion district in Taipei, Taiwan. It is the place where you can buy trendy clothes and just shop around.

Moreover, Taiwan's Fashion is mostly inspired by Japanese Fashion.
Thus, in economic terms, it is like a cheaper alternative, esp when demand is more price elastic. Hahas.

1 Singapore dollar = 23.8489296 Taiwan dollars

Least Budget Person: (Air ticket, hotel accomodation excluded)
Bring about $1000? (about 23k). I am not so sure whether u need so much money or not.
Coz the stuff there are pretty cheap and affordable.
Mainly because some of their stuff are made in China, lower cost of production will translate into lower price of goods. (^.^)

3. Hokkaido, Japan

My motive to Hokkaido is to eat the fresh seafood~! Thanks to the Food Variety show which frequently ft. Hokkaido's Crab!

I should say they are quite successful in showing all the reactions when savouring the crab delicacy.. They really make me salivate.. Zzz.

Price is about ¥6,000 (est. $95) . But it ranges depending on the restaurant you go, and the size of the crab. *must try*

4. Shanghai, China

I want to go to the places which Sakurina went ~! It is a mini reality tv show.

Budget: Not sure how much it should be. But i guess SGD$1000 to SGD$2000 is enough?
Didnt do much research but things in China is definitely much cheaper.

5. Other Countries

There are some countries which are not in my plan, but i am considering to go.
I might have to do more research before i further my planning.

Places such as Maldive. (Media says they are sinking in a few decades?)
But i must say they have the most beautiful sceneries! If possible, would want to stay there to enjoy the sceneries. (temporary i guess)

Next is Hong Kong. Much attractive part would be that the country doesnt have indirect tax aka GST. So even if the real prices is equivalent to local prices,
but because it doesnt have GST, things are gonna be cheaper.

Exchange rate: 1 Singapore dollar = 5.91325565 Hong Kong dollars

Perhaps, Australia too~! I guess there is some nice shopping areas around right?
Have been read Chaigyaru's Blog, think australia should be not bad a place to shop too. But the UV radiation there is bad right? Due to the ozone depletion.
So guess have to equip yourself with UV　block with high SPF (of maybe 130?) when you are there.

Lastly, Maybe i can try to shop at KL , Malaysia too?
Saw in one of Xiaxue's post on a very good shopping mall (Sungei Wang Plaza) in Malaysia, selling mostly trendy clothes and stuff,
(which she went with cheesie)and xiaxue has a great shopping spree there!

Things are definitely cheaper than Singapore, and i just asked one of my malaysian friend who just work next door the shop i am working at to help me buy freshlook contact lens ! 3 boxes only 100 Ringgit (est, SGD$42.50) ~!!! With the same amount, you can only buy 2 boxes in singapore, and perhaps have to top up a few dollars more ! (buying grey lens this time)

Exchange rate is 1 Singapore dollar = 2.35174963 Malaysian ringgits

Hmm.. Europe, never thought of going there.
No matter how low the exchange rate is, it would quite likely never be my choice.

Same goes to Korea, unless i want to eat Korea's Original Kimchi, i wont want to go there.
Not so much of a korea fashion fan..

AND Unless i know of something attractive there that changes my mind, if not i wouldnt bother about it. Hahas.

Neither will i go US, for some reasons if u have been reading my blog.

Other countries not listed means that, they have not come to my mind as a plan to go, and the possibility of going would almost be zero.

Now looking at the list of countries i want to go, (1,2,3 & 4), it seems that the most affordable one would be Taiwan and Shanghai trip. Hahas.

But whatever it is, i wont give Japan a miss and will definitely go there at least once before i reach 30 . ^^

Anyway, exchange rates are googled, and correct at the time of posting.

Hahas. Today's Oct 1 2010!
My colleague says," you got celebrate children's day? (paused) oh but u so old le, should be dont have ba."
Me," It's ok .. You can treat me as a child!"
Colleague," Even if i treat you like a child, but i am not a teacher !! " -.-

Zzz..
I wanted to ask him, who say children's day must be teacher give the children present only.
Any adult also can give ma. Hahas.
But in the end, i ignored him and went to do my stuff. XP

Actually, being a child (defined as a child at 12 yrs old and below) is quite short a period huh?
When you are 3 or 4 yrs old, you start to understand/observe what is going around.
At the age of 7, you enter primary school and is enrolled as a P1 student.
Then u get children's day gift/present for 6 years, and more or less,
most of the ppl around you would not consider you as a child/children (plural or singular is correct?? But i guess "a" would make "child" to be more suitable) anymore after you graduated from your primary school.

So u missed being a child? Hahas.

Anyway, HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY~!

Even if your school doesnt celebrate this meaningful (if you consider it to be)day anymore, you still have your friends and family who would still treat you like one.

It is always a joy to see her around when i am working.
But for the next few months, i wont be seeing her alr. >.<
Coz i am going to concentrate on studies before i continue to work. Hahas.
Hopes my result will be decorated with Ace this time round.
Thus to make it realised, i will work superbly and infinitely hard!
Anyway, shall let you see Baby HX photos for today ~!

Recently she like to struggle away from ppl's arms so that she can reach the ground
to pick up toy balls and throw it away..
Hahas.
It becomes quite tedious carrying her around when she wants to reach on the hanging ball float.

But whatever it is, with her around, there's almost nothing to grumble about.
Because there are times where she will be just quiet and stay focus on what she is looking at.

She loves the baby doll in the last few pic, and she would want to carry it whenever she sees it.
Did u notice she likes to place her hands in the dinosaur's mouth? Lol.
What if it is a real dinosaur? *Oops.*

Hahas.

Anyway, it will be a mundane life for me for the next 2 months.
It may sound it is too long, but to me, it is considered short .
I really wish to complete my memorisation soon enough.

My Wish List After A level !

I have always been wanting some items but haven got chance to go out to shop for them.

Reasons can mostly be coz i have been busy and haven been willing enough to go out to shop.
You got to agree with me that shopping requires some mood before you can really shop with ease.
If not (w/o mood), i cant even drag myself out of the house.
So sometimes back, online shopping become my main hobbies.
Now, most of my tees are bought from tw yahoo.
Mainly coz it is cheap and nice.
But the main thing is, i am "differentiated" from the other ppl who buy their clothes locally.
Hahas.

Here comes my wishlist, or rather, the things i will try to get after my A's.

1. Dolly Wink Eyelashes

I have always been wanting it, but haven got the time to do so..

2. BB cream

I am quite impressed with the recent "invention" of BB cream. But due to the overwhelming advertisement of different brands, i started to ponder which will suit me best. Should consult my cousin some day after my A's. Hahas. She is very much into beauty products. Hehes. I think i rmb i saw a brand which have 10 in 1 formula, cost about $32, and have diamond or what-sorta gem technology on a newspaper advertisement the other day. Should check tt out sometime.

3. A Pink Camera

I have been wanting to look for a camera, particularly a Pink One !!
Hahas. Can be 10 megapix and above, exterior must be pretty too.
It will be best if there is a place which sells all brands pink cameras,
so i can take my time to choose . *i heard you say "impossible"* Lol.

4. Circle Lens

I have been looking for a reliable source for GEO and EOS circle lens. My eyes are too precious for fake lens. *Geo's tagline* Hahas. If you have tried any blogshop's lenses and it is authentic. Do write me a tag to tell me the webby . ^^

5. Blonde Hair

I adore Sakurina ! She's really pretty ! Btw, she's Ageha's Model.
Hahas. I dont mind having her 2-tone blonde hair. (though nt very obvious)
But will consider the tone again when i find a more suitable colour for me . ^^

6. White Apple Iphone 4

I have been very enticed to buy an iphone 4 ! Whenever i am in school, classmates will have their itouch out, and i will try to "calm" myself coz i am so eager to buy one !
There is internet, addictive games, useful app.. It is such a handy gadget!

Plus, my phone is having some problem recently.
It was a fateful day when i woke up from my afternoon nap,
and some of the msg which i have saved for 2 years or more were all gone!
I couldnt even recover it!
Zzz. But guess it is a minor problem bah.
Hope it wont have the same problem again . *no again pls*

7. Essie Nail Polish

I want the brand coz it has a nice pastel pink . Hahas. As simple as that.

8. M.A.C Pink Lipstick

I guess it is the only brand with that nice pastel pink. Hahas.

9. Braces

I am so gonna get my braces done after A's to correct my overbite.

10. Study Super Hard for A level

Now you know i have so many things to do after A's, therefore i have going to study super hard so that i am driven to reach my goal. And i will do it and i can make it !
Gambateii~!

However if you are freak out by the colour i am obsessed in, i am pretty sorry.

It's a from young to now thing. It is not i purposely chose it.
Coz i have been living with this color, and pink just looks pleasant to the eyes.
It was just a coincidence that the Hello Kitty i love is often in Pink or with Pink too.

Today is Mid-Autumn Festival ~!

Below is the mooncake my history teacher brought from his recent Chengdu, China trip.
It is very delicious ~!
Btw, i dont eat local made mooncake,
coz its ingredient is either egg yolk, tou sha,
or others which i dont eat.
Morever, i dont like the "skin" of the mooncake too.

But i had my 1st mooncake when i ate the mooncake with meat ingredient inside.

Hello Kitty Lollipop + My New Flashdrive

Not long ago, i saw the 7-11 mag with this that caught my attention.

And i went to buy the hello kitty lollipop @ $2.50.

And i got the tiniest hello kitty i ever got...
(i was really disappointed at that moment)
Hahas.

Even the lollipop is same size as or slightly smaller than the figurine. Lol.
I oso got the other one,
which looks like an eskimos, representing the country, Fiji Island.

Anyway i went to collect my flashdrive ytd.

It is a Japan product, made in China.

See how mini it is? It weighs only 7g.
The size is only slightly smaller than the width of any normal card u hold.
(that's an arcade game card btw)

But pretty cool right? a thumbdrive with mp3 function = flashdrive.

YOG 2010 + I am a Lucky Draw Winner !

Anyway Youth Olympic is Over for Singapore 2010 !

It was a remarkable feat for Singapore to host it and end it in glory.
Although it was reported that the event expenditure was beyond the budget planned,
it was said the experience and for time to come,
it cannot be measured in monetary term.

A big round of applause for singapore !!

Listen to the youth olympics song again for fond memories!

Singapore achieved 2 sliver and 4 bronze,
quite an achievement for swimmers, table tennis and most imptly,
the soccer team member which showed fighting spirit and clinched bronze for singapore !

Hahas.

Throughout the YOG, i was studying like mad for Prelims,
but was tracking the results of YOG everyday,
made a point to watch opening and closing ceremony.

Though didnt get any merchandise products of YOG, and volunteer in any part of the event,
i am equally satisfied!

watch the cauldron being light up once again ! it makes you go "WOW~!"!!

The mascots are really like a National Identity to Singapore,
you wont fail to recognise that as akin to the meaning of Singapura~!
The Lion City and The Merlion in the Water !

Once Again, Congratulation to Singapore's Effort to make the event a Great Success !!

Okay, next, By seeing the Subtitle, you know i won something from a lucky draw right ?

Yes! I won something from Lucky Draw.
You know something? From young i have always been thinking,
the time when i turn 18,
(eligible age for most of them)
i will start to participate in any sort of contest, competition or lucky draw,
(even though i do even before i turn 18)
so as to increase chance of winning and in the hope to win something !

And on the 20 Aug 2010, i receive an email to collect my prize !
An U-Play 4GB Flash Drive with MP3 player function worth $69.90!!

The website posted a list of winners and i am one of them !

Prelims is Over !

I am so glad that prelims is over (for me)! Hahas.
And i have finished reading True Singapore Ghost Story 20 !!

It's previous book was talking about angel,
and the latest one was talking about the fallen angel aka Lucifer aka Devil/Satan.

I just shortly summarise it.

Lucifer used to be in the highest order of Angel in the heaven (an archangel),
and was often praised to be full of wisdom, beauty as he wears a coat of gems,
and caused lots of admiration among the angels.

Lucifer became full of himself, and thought since he is so good, why he was nowhere on par with GOD?

So because of pride, jealousy and hunger of power, he weave a pack of lies and form a huge group of angel to support him and to go against the good angels in heaven.
A war was then raged in Heaven.

The then-know Devil was banished to Earth, continue to influence innocent souls, including the young. A war between the Devils and Angels continues even till today.
This thus explain the characters in the history, such as Hitler and Stalin,
events such as Cold War, World War II, etc. Or even natural disasters such as earthquake, tsunami, etc.

So in 2012, u may experience something else, that they plan to.
U may think it is JUST a movie. Guess what?
The truth is the media industry is already controlled
by the Devils(in the form of human).
They can weave a pack of lies to make u believe,
so u believe it is JUST a movie.
(Just to let u know, angels can appear in the form of Human to help ppl too)

or others-related-to-them's music, (they appeal to worldwide as they sounds good)
when backmasked u can hear satanic message, below is my humble opinion.

They aim to subconciously influence, it's your choice to believe or not. in this world, science is not everything, beyond those are spiritual being, which you cant see, yet they are always with you. This explains why they promote it through music, for people who refused to believe, remain ignorant and thinks they are the greatest being in the world. And this group of ppl are easily influenced, who choose to get harmed even though they are aware of danger.

I know they produce the nicest music and the most hip ones,
but u tell me, Lucifer was once in its glory and was at its best,
since he had been attractive and gained admiration,
so izzit possible to make his music attractive too, and anything else ?
(anything- you get what i mean ? Sex is attractive, power is attractive, money is attractive, bla bla bla.. )

Even Disney and Tom and Jerry are, you know? They start from young to influence innocent kids,
and watching the cartoon, listening to those music, it is as good as inviting
demonic influence on u, that encourages u to do anti-moral act, such as promiscuity,
murder, and anything against the conscience.
(apparently commonly seen in america as "they" aim to.)

You wont know, until u discover or when something really happens, then it will be a big revelation to you. By then, it's too late.

That day before National Day was 6 Aug 2010 i think.

The school has planned some sport event for everyone to watch.

Then it was soccer for teachers and Students.
It was like a mini world cup on JJ field, i thought.
The cheers and boos came along and i spotted a very awkward pose of the goalkeeper.

maybe my phone camera wasnt clear enough, but the ppl around sure crack a big joke about it.
It was meant for entertaining purpose and liven up the atmosphere, though it already was.

Anyway, my colleague gave me a $2.50 gambling chip that is from the Sentosa RW.

(Photo quite blur.. Hahas.)

Basically,
surrounding the circumference of the chip at both faces
are 6 four clovers leaves deep imprints.
The logo is "RW" with the value of SGD$2.50 printed on both side.
Nice to feel and you dont mind having more of it.
hahas.
(i'm serious!)

Casinos have to make chips that are pleasing to the eyes and nice to touch,
so that they will gamble with it right? (i.e. to gamble for more of it)

Anyway, i cant find any photos of the whole set of gambling chips on the internet.

Particularly interested in the design and colours of the gambling chips.

Hahas, yesterday was a relaxation day !

Went to work and snapped alot of photos of the cute little toddler.

(hahas. Did you saw the 7th photo? That is another toddler's head.)

Hehes. made the photos smaller for easy viewing.

Anyway, the pink hoody that she was wearing ytd, made her look so adorable.

After work was about 6pm plus, and had family outing to bugis.

And while waiting for my parents and my sis to finish their food,
decided to narcissitic awhile. Hahas.

(My panda eyes ,omg..)

Anyway, the fish soup i had was really sub-standard,
plus it is expensive too. Should not eat from that stall again.

Spent a few hours playing at the arcade,
shooting sea creatures such as stingray, fishes, turtles, shark,etc,
and tokens will drop out whenever you hit one of them.

Really had great fun. Hahas.

Anyway, world cup 2010 is over.
Somebody had used the Coca Cola world cup 2010 song and
made it into a song about the recent flood in singapore lowland area.
(you should really watch it, due to curiosity. Hahas)

Neglects

The first neglect that comes to my mind now, is of coz my blog.

You will perhaps see less and less posts here.
(My life for the next few months will be just having dates with my notes.)

And i have no mood for other stuff too...

Practically stressed out and hope will be "ardently" loving my books.

Stress now and be happy later.

It's worth it.
(No hard works, no gains)

1st Time Doing Up Wallpaper !

This is what i have done at the shop i am working at!
It tooks me about 1hr 30mins or less. hahas.

(i am actually quite proud of my artwork! LOLS! Coz it's my 1st time doing up wallpapers. Bleah~)

Advertise for awhile: each wallpaper cost $1.50 only ! while stock lasts !
(many designs to choose from !)

Anyway, i love working at the shop not just because of the environment.
(Due to the fanciful stationaries and toys,etc..)

But also coz of the babies i get to see and most importantly, to carry them !

She is from the next door (shop) 's baby.
From last year, i saw her carried on (her mum's) arm,
till recently, sees her started to walk on her own.

Upcoming matches - Semi-finals:

	Germany	vs.	Spain	-	8 Jul 2:30am (Singapore Time)

Since this year's world cup Brazil is officially out, (beaten by Netherland)
and Spain has outshone them by proceeding to the Semi- final,
as i was chatting with my colleague ytd that
i would be expecting 3 European and 1 South American country in the Semi- final.

Indeed now there is Uruguay, Netherlands, Germany and Spain ~!

I only think that the only country in South America that is good in football is Brazil.
(that's my opinion, correct me if i m wrong)

So the Final round of WorldCup might be Netherlands Vs Germany!

( i am guessing that there will be either Spain, Netherlands or Germany appearing in the finals.)
(if not, if Netherlands pwn Uruguay, depending on whether the history of Brazil vs Netherlands repeats again or not. With luck, Netherlands might proceed to the finals.

Plus i feel that Germany is much more stronger than Spain, unless there is any loopholes discovered by the opponents, that make their winning techniques to fail,
Germany is gonna Champion the game.)

I am not so sure how good is Uruguay.
Whether they will in or not, i am pretty sure Germany might be the spotlight
and champion the fifa world cup 2010 this year.

My Common Test is over and i have 3 days long weekend ~!

Hahas. i am so relieve and relax now !

But i am super tired..
i am currently "suffering" from exhausted and over-worked brain.

Overall summary of Common test:

Econs was quite ok. (but i didnt finish so the result will be..)
CLL, eh.. Language quite easy, Literature not sure..
HC- Confirm PASS~! First time that i am confident of passing! Hahas.

Ok, out of randomness..

It was raining heavily when i was in school one day, and the water that gushed down the stairs was like a man-made waterfall "scenery".

My boss bought these for me when he went to china 1 week ago.

Why?
Because you see these MVs with subliminal messages every now and then.
It corrupts your mind subconciously.
On the scientific explanation, you are psychologically affected and act like an rebellious person.
On the non-scientific explanation, you invite yourself to do evil, morally wrong acts.

Everything will get worsen, although what i have stated above is on an extreme note.
If there is no extreme point, the comparison will not bring out the serious-ness of the matter.

You might think what's wrong with sex?
It's not wrong, but promiscuity is not condoned.

Nobody can ban music as it sounds ridiculous.

So as an individual,
you should from the start be clear of what is right,
control your actions and analyse what is presented to you
as what you see might not be the truth all the time and would have their own agenda (bad).

To conclude: Do not always believe what you see. What you see might not always be the truth.
It might be just a make-up, a false representation.

Subliminal message affects your subconcious mind activities.
Sometime you dreamt what your subconcious mind see, or even unknowingly draw or act the way your subconcious mind in whatever way is influenced by subliminal messages.

Answers To Brain Teasers !

The tip is that, if you get it, the answer is there.
However, if you dont get it, you will not be able to get anything out of it.
(That's right !)

You Shall Hold that very few seconds before i decides to reveal the answers.
Hahas.

Went out with my sister ytd.
Did you realise that my face looks abit too round than usual?
Did the increase of weight contributes to the face-shaped change
or was i thinking too much?
Hahas.

But looking at the 2 photos above,
it doesnt seems likely.
Maybe was the angle problem.

Anyway, for the past 12 years of education, it's common for schools to have fire drill exercise,
And, normally they will announce the day of exercise a few days before.
The only thing that you wont know is the time of the drill.

So students will be praying that the exercise will be at the time where it is the lesson that they dread to go.
(However the school will "drill" at the time that they deem most suitable that only minorities are affected- that was just my assumption.)

So on thursday, we were told that drill will be on that day.
That day's situation was,
I was in the canteen and we were talking about the fire drill thingy.
And i notice this...

Canteen vedors are shutting down their stall at the time of 9.30am!
... ...
9.30am are where most students are likely to be preparing for lessons,
or going to meals after their lesson.

And there they are -- shutting down.

So guess what?

They are prepared for FIRE DRILL !!!

LOL.

You can only laugh at the "preparedness",
as the purpose of fire drill is to allow swift reaction when the fire alarm sounds.

I mean, who can tell that a fire is coming?

So the next day, the vp said there wont be any more announcement for the day of fire drill.
And it could be anytime coz the drill exercise took more than 10mins or so.

Boy cries wolf.

I guess when this announcement goes out, if there is really a real fire,
people will still think it is a drill and walk at their own pace to the assembly area.

Do you agree?
(Fire drill exercise is flawed in some ways, yet useful by looking on the other angle.)

I am really impressed by this year's JJ PW result.
Grade A to B is 90.6 %!! Grade C is 9.4% .
Whereas last year grade C is 36.6%.
No grade D!!

How i wish my batch had such an impressive result..

A Sunday Outing

Was out with my sister today.
We went out just for one purpose,
that is to train our DDR skill.
(ehh, DDR stands for Dance Dance Revolution.)

I think we started training last Saturday or so,
i guess the 1st time i really played DDR was on the CNY second day this year.

That very day my sister drag me to the machine,
and i played clumsily.
How embarrassing. Hahas.

Today i went to jurong point - our usual hangout place,
To play of coz.
And to watch others played.

Really Aaaammmaaazzzz-ing!

I happened to see this teenager,
initially she was wearing a jacket,
not long after, we noticed that she took it off.
I thought she was sweating after all the jumps and steps.

Her tank top was revealed.

When the music starts, she danced...
and her boobs were bouncing too.
From the side,
you can literally see the flesh up, down, up, down...
That was like, oh gosh, so unglam !!
(pls behave yourself in public. it's really very inappropriate and looks cheap)

The guys at the car machines were like ," Poi poi poi.. Hahahahahs!!"
(poi is the sound of a ball, not literally.)
When the girl danced another stage, they continued to watch and laugh.
Some even took out cameras and shot her.
(speechless)

At the end of the game,
the boyfriend left the place with a black face.
(i guess he cant do anything too, the girl's act is just a rebellious one)

Moral of the story: Dont invite unwanted attention.
(no matter is you , or whoever doesnt like it.)

Anyway that was a negative connotation of Amazing.

I saw another guy, his skill at the DDR was real GREAT !
When one is just managing or trying to manage only 1 "4-keys" board.
He can manage 2 "4-keys" which is "8-keys" on His OWN !!

Before that, there was a girl who can do just well.

Really amazing, i mean i am just getting a grade B for Starter's Butterfly song.

That "struggle" would be long before i reach the DDR "Saint" stage.
Hahas.
Dont you think those ppl dance like a Dancing Saint ??

The Cat Had Gave Birth !

This Cat Kept Coming in to the shop on 21 Feb this year.
My Colleague said the cat was going to give birth, i.e. it is pregnant.,
and therefore finding a place to stay in.
So have to make the cat leave the place if not it will just stay in the shop.
(perhaps make a mess too)

The cat was resting after several attempts trying to enter the shop but to no avail.
It was chased out everytime it runs in.
Hahas.

Guess what?

Today after school i saw the cat's kittens !!!

So Cute RIGHT??!

Heard that the cat has 3 husbands. LOL.
That explain the 3 different colours and patterns.
The black one even has blue eyes !!
None resemble the mother cat, why??!

They were apparently kept in a paper box.
And the cat wasnt able to find its kitten and was wandering around.

And there she was, resting.

A malay lady brought the kitten home to feed.
Coz they were afraid the cat wasnt able to look after its kittens.
And would even harm the kittens if it see any human having contact with its young.

(I heard cats are very protective, they would just bite their young to death
rather than letting anyone touch their kitten)
(I even heard if any human sees their newborn kitten, they will just eat it up.)

So call it a blessing for the kittens to be brought home,
or a pity that the cat cant see its young.

But when the kittens have grown up, i believe they will reunite somehow.
Nothing can break the bonds of a mother and it kids.

Right now, let's just hope that the kittens grow healthily :)

Anyway, was digressing in class today.
Hahas.
Ran 2.4km and
yupp, as you guess it,
i have hardly or barely pass 2.4km.
So today wasnt an exceptional case.

Shall show you something.

Loreal Revitalift Demo.

It is the usual day that we set our foot out.
Our motive was just to buy some guidebooks from the popular bookstore.
But once you reach the place, you wouldnt just want to tour that particular shop right?
Hahas.
I guess everyone is the same yea?

(if you do agree, my mei is really getting prettier. Hahas. what a joy :) )

As we are planning to go to our last stop before going way,
we saw this event going on.
And that is Loreal Revitalift Demo.
So being curious, we participated it.

It was known that women starts aging at age 25 and men at age 35, but acelerate faster than women.

Hahas.
You must be thinking,
"wth, you and your sister is so young !"

Lol. Well, i have nothing to comment about that.
But i would say i was trying out for fun.

We followed through the demo and tried the mask.
It was definitely moisturising and my skin feels tighter than before.
Totally a must-try for people with saggy or tired skin.
However, there are also other products that complement with the mask.
I strongly recommend that you check out more information about the whole package.

Apparently, Loreal is a reputable brand,

Got some masks home for mum to try.
Hahas.
After all it is not meant for me right?
I am too young to start anti-aging and prevent wrinkles, i guess.

Hahas. But my mum hardly needs it i guess.
She dont even look as old as her age.
But just give her skin some pamper.

When Friend Become "DNEIRF"

HEY ppl, today is SATURDAY !

Hahas.
I am back to school.
Back to JJ.
If you still dont get it, then nvm.

(sorry but i do get defensive about it, but i will be serious this year)
(If you dont realise, those who are not back to their own jc, doesnt mean their result are fantastic. So yea, dont judge.)

Anyway blogtv came to my school on wednesday.

The pic is kinda self-explanatory.

And Flying Dutchman Hosted the event.

Basically if u volunteer to call your love ones and tell them "I Love You" using their HTC phone, to anywhere of the world, and you will be captured by the camera. And blogtv is getting 1000 people to do this.
It is a blogtv project.

So yea, i didnt went for it.
For it is due to perspective.
Not everyone prefers to express their love through words.
But for the love that shows and speak out, it will be rather a sincere and touching scene.

Dont worry, whoever who volunteered, their love is not scripted.
So everything is true from the heart. Hahas. Worth watching.

Anyway the title for today is " When Friend Become "DNEIRF" ".

Have you got a friend who is very close to you?
Have you heard this friend speaks bad about others?
Have you wonder if this friend speaks bad behind you too?
Have you thought of what would be the content?
Have you caught your friend telling lies about you?
Have you ever realise people believe the lies about you told by your friend?
Have you discover that before you get to make friend proper, there is already misunderstanding?

Have you realise that your friend has said alot of untrue stuff to your new friend-to-be?

Do you think it is fated ? or It can be avoided?

I think my questions speaks alot.
If you wanna hear the answer then i guess i will have grandma story coming up.
However because this is a blog, everyone can read it.
I am kinda wary of divulging too much of the inside info.
For i could be confronted and worse still, words get twisted again.
Better not to provoke, for it has already led to many misunderstandings.
(it refers to untrue stuff)

Some people already know who is it, and they long long ago already knew this person's way of acting.

However i was in the dark for 2 years.
So is it kinda serious?
I think so.
Severely brainwashed.

Hahas.

But it's over, i have to move on.
There is no need to forgive and forget, it is there means it is there.
For i dont really bear grudges and
my curiosity is satisfied, as i very well understand why the person acted this way.

So yea, i just have to stay away and minimise contact.
And whatever you heard from others about me,
if it is real contrasting from what you see from the real me.
Then it is definitely not true.
So yea, if you want to know me or be friends, it's best you approach me and see for yourself.
I might be unfriendly at 1st but i will leave this topic to the next occasion.

Anyway, if you are still clueless of what i am talking about, it's ok.
For you are not leading my life.
However pls do not jump to conclusion, for it will only make matter worse.

On WeekDay Leave

I will be on weekday leave which means i will hardly blog on weekdays.
And sometime could even leave the blog hanging there for weeks.

My blogshop is also on hiatus until further notice.

Thus, i will be away from this internet thingy more often.
(it is so virtual that it absorb your mind so much, causing failure to time management)

On the 15 March you fetch me home, you drove me straight home as i was too tired.
Never did i know, that was the last time..
From then on, you were gone..
Forever gone..
Just one mistake, a step which you miscalculated.
You ran away from then on..
Overly obsessed with gambling and too much of empowering greed and desperateness.
Learn from it..
Change your thinking..
I pray for your well-being and hope for your success one day.
Will hardly forget what the past few months we had been..
Treats and the birthday present you gave me.
Too much of the memories.

I hated how realistic your brother-in-law is, but nonetheless there was nothing i can do.

If you had frequent my blogshop which mainly sell plushies caught from the UFO catcher,
you will see that i hardly, and even rarely, and even even once in a blue moon,
update the blog.

Why??

Coz I have too much stuff to do in real life, (of course..)
and start to neglect or just put stuff aside.

From The time i started,

Which is around 18 dec 2009 till now 19 march 2010.

And now i have an overwhelming collections,
where it (Pics below) is only about 80% to 90% of my soft toys.

Shall show you the Disney Stitch and Angel Family.

Next it is the Sanrio Family, which consist of My Melody,
My favourite Hello Kitty and Cinamoroll.

Then following up will be those caught from the market,
equally overwhelming..

The not so exagerrating ones and seemingly pathetic are the Disney, Caltoy and Unknown Stuff..
Coz i dont favour or have lots of liking for Disney characters.

That goes to show i have too much money to spent, and this expensive hobby is very addictive.
It "attract", "trick" and "gobbles up" your money subconciously,
and how scary is that?

But i totally LOVE THE TOYS nonetheless.

Hahas. Unless you are really that crazy like me, you may not have what i have now.

If you really want to start now, you better think properly.
(and that's when you think i am bloody wasting money)
(But i dont, i normally dont put in alot of coins to get one toy)

So that's an very experienced person giving advice.
(hahas. Buey paiseh)

Lalala. It didnt take me long for me to change my blogskin.

From this,

(Omg, i duno what had happen to the wallpaper.
It became like this (above) after i upgraded my mozila firefox.
So un-sightful for viewing purposes.)

And perhaps view-friendly, and read-friendly.

Changed Blogskin would symbolise better life from now onward.

Ok. So I like this blogskin more than the previous one.
Wont change it until ... (duno when)
Initially my previous blogskin was there to stay,
but who knows 2012 came,
(not so serious actually, it was just a minor disaster, wth.)
and i reluctantly changed my plan
and to a better one, ceteris paribus (keeping other factors unchanged).

Messy..

I feel so tired after working from 10am to 10pm today.
The third time that i am sick this year- throat infection.
After that, being down emotionally since yesterday.
What would have made me feel worser inside?

Things kinda become tougher for me physically and mentally.

I kinda dont understand why people like to use people's name
to comment on someone's behaviour and further on say that
they are relating to work and not people when in actual fact, they arent.
(Adding on: I feel that the comments are untrue.)

(please do not interpret me wrongly, i am not referring to work.)

Well..

It's people's way of thinking.

I begin to feel that people are too result-oriented,
they dont even care what kind of difficulties you have while
you are pursuing a better education.
They only focused on the outcome and judge you on that.

And i mean, who likes that?

People only know what they think should be done,
and when we cannot do, they are totally oblivious to what we are trying to do.
THEY ARE JUDGEMENTAL.

They tell you stuff of what should be done,
and when you couldnt do it,
they didnt try to find out what is wrong,
whether emotionally you are going through some difficulties.
THEY INSIST YOU MUST BE WORKING YOUR WAY UP.

But finally,
they gave you the chance only after,
you broke down with sobbing true story,
when you couldnt hold back tears anymore.

Only then they are satisfied with the thinking that
"Yes! i have made her worst.
I shall give her the chance that she yearned."
How cruel is that?

On the other hand, if the true tears had made him touched..
Definitely, you wont want to disappoint anyone anymore.

Work harder to achieve what you want to achieve.
I believe i will want to follow suit.
Till then..

Outing With Caledyne!

Today i was out with Caledyne !!!

Hahas. Cal !!
This post is solely to blog the day (or rather night) that we are out!

(I think we forgot to find a place/time to take photographs)

Lol.

Anyway, went to Suntec before going to meet cal at jp.
(i reach there at 4pm and supposed to meet cal at 5pm or thereafter)
So my time management fails at tt time.
LOL!

Suntec is this crowded coz of the IT fair.

Got a adidas pink top, Ferranyl white short skirt and a freestyle black long pants.
Quite cheap.

Saw newurbanmale stuff. Even it is sales, it is still very expensive.

Then reach jp only at 6pm, and cal was "killing" me for me so late.

Coz on the way to mrt, my shoes fails its purpose.
I got to get a new $5 slipper with the help of a customer.
(as i can only purchase the item with any purchase of other stuff)

So well...

We had dinner at kopitiam, with my sister popping out of nowhere.
Lol.
So we chat and chat (while eating).

Went to Zone-X and caught a Pink Cinamoroll.

Hahas, it was pure tyco. $3 to catch that.
The tag was hooked to the claw.
and it dropped into the collection point.
Lalala..
When i am free, i will sort out my stuff to post on net.
(it's taking up my whole cupboard)

After that went to bring my sister to take bus and sent her home,
and continue to walk walk with cal.

She got a black stocking and i couldn't get my stuff.
(because dont have my size / color. Zzz. )
Lol.

And so we walk around until 8:45pm plus, talking about stuff bla bla bla..

Thereafter, we were on our way home.

LOL! My post abit too short arhx.
That's coz my sister is talking beside me,
very hard to concentrate to think and blog in proper english.

So that's it.
Wont be going out alr, so will have lesser posts as time goes ~~~

A HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!

My Beloved Birthday cake !! Yum Yum..

(it's chocolate cream outside with vanilla cake inside)

Ate it this morning and brought some to work for my colleagues.

(They said it's delicious! I think so too !!)

And i Have TURNED Age 19 !

Which also means that i have reached the age limit of a teenager (age 13 to 19) !

I wish that i will have a smooth year ahead, happy-go-lucky, always as cheerful,
calm, everyday enough slp (LOL) and get what i want !
